Responsible for providing support and helping to manage the Google Micro-trenching project in Nashville and Austin for the installation of OSP fiber networks. This involved the micro-trenching, installation of conduit and setting up meet point huts.

 

Day and Zimmerman / Watts Bar Nuclear Plant Refueling Outage 13

Directly tied to the Maintenance Services War room working with various internal teams ensuring that the outage stayed on schedule. Worked with Tennessee Valley Authority management, the Day and Zimmerman Planning team and craft to ensure that all requirements were met to have a successful outage.

PROJECT MANAGER:  Responsible for maintaining project schedule while managing relationships between all market functional teams (Finance, RF, Site Acquisition and Construction) by providing mentoring, training and technical direction with the key objective to resolve project challenges and deliver sites for turn-up per contractual commitments. Installations included tower modifications, new Ericsson equipment, RRU’s and antennas in support of the CWW 850 LTE and Verizon 700 LRA.

PROJECT MANAGER:  Provide day to day support and single point of contact, Implementation management, for Node B Re-homes and Voice Core projects tied to AT&T MPC overflow. This requires daily interface with the customer and the Ericsson internal teams to support planning, review schedule and to resolve issues which may arise to support successful completion of activities.  I have been involved with over 400 RNC Re-homes and have worked with over 16 different AT&T markets providing this support.

 

TVAN /Watts Bar Nuclear Plant/ Day and Zimmerman                    4/10 to 5/11

PROJECT ELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT: Worked on project team supervising the installation of a new OSP Fiber optic infrastructure, erection of new camera towers, replacement of all existing cameras, addition of infrared cameras,  new microwave zones and dishes, addition of low and high mast lighting and installation of new computers / monitors for the security upgrade project while keeping the existing system operational. Supervised upgrades to the security portals and any underground openings in the controlled areas. Itemized all work scope into the project schedule and developed cost estimates for installation of the new system. Provided manpower loading to match schedule, coordinated all training and supervised up to 60 electricians on the project team.

AT&T Wireless / Contractor                              1/10 to 4/10             

MARKET MANAGER:  Responsible for all market activities for UMTS, 3rd Carrier, New Site builds, Fiber to the Site, Generator addition and Business as Usual for a project value of over 45 million dollars. Managed Site Acquisition and Project Managers including all functional support teams providing contracted services to customer. Daily client interface to ensure project is on schedule, meeting the plan of record in accordance with project specifications, policies and procedures.  Reviewed and improved existing processes expedite the build plan.  Develop accurate project plan including budget for all assigned projects, directed close out of completed jobs and receipt of all required documentation.  Lead internal deployment meetings with team members to review the status of each job and implement changes as necessary to ensure timely project completion.

PROJECT MANAGER / CONSULTANT: I have been associated with multiple New Market launches generating the project schedule, monitoring milestones, developing program structure, processes and procedures.  Focused on managing relationships between all market functional teams (Finance, RF, Site Acquisition and Construction) by providing mentoring, training and technical direction with the key objective to resolve project challenges and deliver a Quality network ahead of schedule and under budget. Analyzed bids and awarded work to qualified vendors. Our process saved Cricket Communications over 2 million dollars in the Raleigh N.C. market launch keeping the project under projected budget. Being an avid believer in the communication process; my team developed a clear scope of work, clarifying project expectations and goals for the functional teams and to our vendors to support swift market deployment. I organized project teams, A&E Site visits, developed the Construction Drawing and standard material templates.

TVAN/Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant                  2/05 to 11/05

TASK MANAGER:  Browns Ferry Nuclear Plant U1 Restart.   Direct Contractor to the Tennessee Valley Authority to provide management oversight of the prime contractors’ work activities during unit restart.  I assisted in the establishment and clarification of project goals and expectations.  Monitored daily work activities, attended scheduling update meetings and provided work process enhancement recommendations. Coordinated work activities across all disciplines as required to meet system completion milestones.

 

BECHTEL                  10/03 to 1/05

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER: AT&T Wireless project.  Managed activities during 1900 GSM BTS addition, 850 GSM overlay/ BTS installs and E-911 PSAP integration projects.  Reviewed site audits, engineering evaluations, and lease reviews to determine site specific requirements on over 1000 new cell sites.  Provided technical support during the installation of MCPA’s, installation of Andrews WLS equipment, Kentrox DSU’s, and the replacement of power plants.  Ensured contractors understood project goals, expectations, and schedule requirements. Monitored contractor’s compliance to design, project specifications, technical requirements, and local codes.  Verified adherence to Bechtel’s ES&H Zero Accident Policy and OSHA requirements.

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER:  WATTS BAR Nuclear Plant.  Provided construction oversight by monitoring subcontractors work activities during the disassembly and reassembly of the ice condenser.  Verified procedural compliance and worked to resolve any defined schedule or process issues.  Sequoyah Nuclear Plant supporting U1C12 outage and Steam Generator Replacement.  Managed work activities, provided technical direction and maintained schedule during the implementation of various design changes.

WIRELESS DEPLOYMENT PROJECT MANAGER:  Provided technical direction on planning, scheduling and engineering functions to project managers, construction managers and field personnel for the Sprint PCS 3-G project in 5 markets.  Coordinated the program from initial site candidate walk down and approval thru leasing, drawing development, site construction, equipment deployment, replacement and optimization.  This involved both Nortel and Motorola equipment at over 500 cell sites.  Developed project schedules, budgets, work instructions and work controls.   Also involved with the addition of over 130 new sites in 3 Sprint markets

WIRELESS PROJECT MANAGER:  Responsible for overseeing tasks in support of raw land site feasibility, drawing development, zoning, permitting and construction for the Bellsouth Mobility East Tennessee build out.  Ensured sites were constructed on time, within budget and met all contractual requirements and safety standards.

IMPLEMENTATION ENGINEER:  Directed and coordinated activities associated with cell site deployment in support of the Sprint PCS Atlanta market launch.  Involved with all aspects of the wireless telecommunications build out from initial site visit, site construction, equipment set to site optimization.  Obtained bids from contractors, awarded jobs, and monitored daily events.  Generated and maintained project schedules.

SENIOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEER:  Responsible for managing and tracking construction milestones associated with the Sprint PCS launch in the New York market.  Interfaced with General Contractors and A/E firms to resolve construction issues.  Established daily work priorities, organized site closeout and turnover to Lucent / Sprint PCS.

SENIOR FIELD ENGINEER:  Monitored and updated Schedule, prioritizing work required to meet system completion milestones.  Scoped electrical design drawings and planned work documents.  Provided field engineering support during work order implementation.  Reviewed Electrical and Mechanical equipment installation packages to ensure compliance to design and quality requirements.  Coordinated audits to assure completion of specific licensing commitments.  Developed recurrence controls and root cause analysis for PER’s and CAQR’s.  Prepared closure packages for licensing commitments. MODIFICATION ENGINEER / PLANNER: Responsible for the preparation of work packages to provide detailed instructions to control and document design changes and modifications.  Prepared Work Permits to support the replacement of accumulator/receiver tanks associated piping and the rework of structural steel framing.  Provided schedule updates for logic and work progression.  Responsible for in-process inspections to ensure adherence to design requirements.

 

 

EBASCO PLANT SERVICES/ Watts Bar Nuclear Station                   1991 to 1992

MODIFICATION FIELD ENGINEER: Worked within TVA’s Electrical Modification group to review work plans for completeness and to identify remaining work tied to the installation of conduit, electrical cables and Raychem splices.  Directed feasibility walk down of proposed design changes. Provided technical assistance, procedure clarification and field support during installation of electrical cables and equipment.

 

EBASCO SERVICES / Watts Bar Nuclear Station                  1990 to 1991

SENIOR DESIGNER: Reviewed piping systems and supports per NRC Bulletin 79-14 and 79-02.  Designed small and large bore pipe supports, reviewed proposed design changes, performed constructability reviews and ordered materials required for support modifications.  Updated piping isometric drawings prior to CAD upgrade.  Reviewed piping packages for accuracy and procedural compliance.
